CeeBee Stars Men’s Senior Hockey Team welcomes EastLink to centre ice as platinum sponsor

Newfoundland,  November 10 – The CeeBee Stars Senior Men’s Hockey team has a new name, now officially known as the EastLink CeeBee Stars.

“We are delighted to partner with the CeeBee Stars,” says Arthur Taylor, Regional Manager for EastLink.

“Eastlink is dedicated to playing an active role in supporting community activities that help make a positive difference in the quality of life where we live, work, and play.”

As an Avalon East Senior Hockey Team, the CeeBee Stars face off against three other teams in the league including the Northeast Eagles, Mt. Pearl Blades and the Bell Island Wave.

“On behalf of the executive members and volunteers of the CeeBee Stars Senior Hockey Team we are proud to welcome EastLink as the Title sponsor for the 2010-2011 hockey season,” said Tracy Shute, PR Manager for the EastLink CeeBee Stars.

"This partnership is an example of how committed EastLink is to empowering the communities they serve.”

As part of EastLink’s platinum sponsorship, kids from the local area will have an opportunity to participate in two EastLink Hockey Schools where they will share ice time, learn from members of the CeeBee Stars and most importantly, have fun.

For a spot on the Hockey School ice, names will be drawn from entries received at EastLink CeeBee Star’s home games. Children must be present at the home game to enter. The first EastLink Hockey School will take place on December 4th from 8-10 p.m.

EastLink will also host two fan appreciation nights – December 11 and February 5.

“Senior Men’s Hockey is very popular in Newfoundland drawing huge crowds and generating lots of on-ice excitement so fans won’t want to miss these games. There will be giveaways and special prizes to show the fans how much we appreciate their enthusiasm and support,” said Mr. Taylor.

The puck drops on the next game on November 13 against the Bell Island Wave on Bell Island.
